Humanistic Leadership for Youth Changemakers
At The Peace Collective, we are dedicated to nurturing a generation of young leaders driven to create positive change on a global scale. Drawing from over a decade of experience working with youth from 60+ countries, we have thoughtfully curated this unique programme.
Our experiential programme goes beyond traditional leadership training, focusing on the development of individuals who are not only passionate about creating positive change but are also committed to embodying ethical and humanistic values. The programme allows participants to engage in activities that promote self leadership, empathy, and real life skills needed to build a better world.
This programme can be implemented in-person (3 full days) or online (10 sessions) as per the needs of the group.
Who is this programme for?
This programme is crafted for aspiring young leaders who are committed to championing global change by working on their self-leadership, displaying a strong commitment to peace, inclusivity and positive societal transformation.
- Students in high school or university
- Young professionals working in social change organisations
- Young founders committed to being good while doing good
What can you expect from the programme?
Our core curriculum spans 20 hours and is especially designed to implement it flexibly according to the needs of the organisation and participants. We are also able to curate shorter or longer programmes to meet these needs.
During the programme, participants can expect the following:
1. Build a foundation around the 5 characteristics of Humanistic Leadership: Based on thorough research, we have created a unique framework that highlights the characteristics of Humanistic Leadership entailing these 5 commitments:
- Commitment to create sustainable conditions for systemic peace
- Commitment to non-violence
- Commitment to keep people at the centre
- Commitment to being a continuous learner
- Commitment to interconnectedness and interdependence among self, others and the environment
Keeping this framework at the centre, participants actively engage in developing these commitments throughout the programme.
2. A Blend of Theory and Practice: Carefully curated, our programme provides participants with a comprehensive understanding and good mix of acquiring knowledge, building skills and shifting mindsets that are needed for navigating the complexities of our interconnected world.
Core topics include –
- Understanding peace and violence dynamics
- Identity exploration and bias recognition
- Violent and non-violent communication
- Win-win conflict resolutions
- Team collaboration mastery
3. Cultivating a Culture of Humanism and Compassion: Our programme aims to instil a humanistic and compassionate approach to leadership, encouraging participants to prioritise empathy, inclusivity, and social responsibility in their decision-making processes. We encourage a diverse group of participants as this programme will give them the opportunity to forge meaningful connections that transcend cultural, social, and geographic boundaries.
4. Interactive Peer Learning Space: Participants engage in interactive, activity-based sessions featuring reflective exercises and peer learning. Our peace education and human rights education methodologies form the bedrock of the programme’s design and facilitation, thus creating a safe and inclusive space for all.
We’re excited to embark on this journey with you!

What our participants are saying
”Peace does not mean an absence of conflicts; differences will always be there. Peace means solving these differences through peaceful means; through dialogue, education, knowledge; and through humane ways.
